Mike Allen

Mike Allen edits the critically-acclaimed anthology series Clockwork Phoenix. The first volume made the 2008 Locus Magazine Recommended Reading List; the second received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. He's now assembling the third volume in the sequence. He also edits the long-running poetry journal Mythic Delirium, which has published verse by Neil Gaiman, Ursula K. Le Guin and many others over its 10-year history. His horror story "The Button Bin" was a 2008 Nebula Award nominee. He's won the Rhysling Award for poetry three times, and his poetry and prose collection Strange Wisdoms of the Dead was a Philadephia Inquirer Editor's Choice selection. He lives in Roanoke, Virginia with his wife and sometimes co-editor Anita, as well as a demonic cat and a comical dog.
