My dinner guest for tonight canceled due to a family emergency, so I wnt out to Q barbeque. The smell when you walk in is awesome, the sauces (Mild, Sweet and HotZing) and all tasty, the meat is delightful and melts in your mouth with a hickory flavor.

A pulled pork sandwich on a potato roll (I get mine without the slaw, but they do offer it for those who want it that way), a large helping of fries and a fountain drink came to $7 plus tax. The dozen smoked wings I brought home for later tonight were $10 including tax. They also offer frozen margaritas, a full selection of microbrews and even wines and specialty sodas.

This place is a mile and a half to 2 miles from the hotel and is probably about as far out from the hotel as we need to look at places in order to get a full compliment of food styles in any price/quality range.

The pitboss and owner both liked the idea of having SF fandom visit them and asked me to remind them as the con approaches so we can work out something.

The next time I eat out I plan to hit either Casa Grande for mexican (across Midlothian Turnpike from the hotel) or Apollo's (brick oven italian) which is about the same mile or two from the hotel only in the other direction.
